Zombie Q

"Very Nice!"

submission: Zombie Q
date: July 28, 2009

Nice drawings and animation,
and the serious style with a bit of comedy suited very well the scene.
I personally enjoyed the kick-off quite a lot.
Hope you get to continue the story!

EFN Episode 3: Purpose

"Outstanding!"

date: May 5, 2009

Your work is really amazing and this was no exception.

Although the quality of the animation was a bit weaker than usual, it was still quite good and did the job of unfolding another part of what I believe shall be a very well constructed background story.

I think Ysef's voice art was a little weaker than that of Ace and Spoiler and his brother-blade.

Little was shown of Ysef's story on this flash, but he's a very nice character.
I'm interested in how much you can do with the other contestants characters.(Brother's new role's quite awesome!)

This was an amazing entry, and the depicting of Black Ace was very surprising!
I wish you luck!

If you permit me to make a comment, keep an eye for consistency of your art.
Sometimes their clothes are a little excessively baggy, for instance.
As you improve your knowledge over anatomy you'll get better results as well.

Great job,
Will be waiting your next works!

Castle Repercussions - C

"Fantastic Work."

date: April 16, 2009

I'm really impressed for this part.

The voice acting and sound keep the quality already seen in part A and B, as well as the heavy atmosphere.

While I'm still not into stick figures, specially for a work of such quality, you managed to do it fairly well. The action scenes over this part were top notch, I found the majority of camera angles very appropriate.

If you had the chance I'd suggest you to update the newer parts so that the arc at the end with their names contained links for the previous parts.

Overall it's a great piece, you sure got some talent!
Keep it up!

"Turned out to be better than expected."

date: April 4, 2009

Nice job, and your Vinter musician really knows what he's doing!

I liked your artwork a lot as well. In fact, I found the first scenario so good I was kinda disappointed to see the sticks. Don't get me wrong, they we're well done, but for a piece with such potential, I'd rather have character designs that stand up for it, heh!

Storywise, you've done a nice job setting up the mood, it was very enjoyable.
The voices were truly great, not only the editing but the acting as well-- you've got some talent over there.

I will be waiting for the next parts,
Keep it up!

Nevermore 3

"Truly Beautiful."

submission: Nevermore 3
date: March 26, 2009

A nice idea delivered through an amazing artwork which builds a beautiful (and slightly creepy) atmosphere. That feeling carried me on through all of the game, which I did find a little short for a game with such level of involvement.

Overall a really nice game, which could easily evolve into a bigger and even better title.

Fox-X : Dawning

"Much Potential!"

submission: Fox-X : Dawning
date: February 28, 2009

That's a fine idea and overall well executed, it just seems to lack experience on gameplay basics.

Take a look over similar games of the professional industry, You can always learn something new.

I think if you stick a little more to the 'Stealth' type, you could have something very entertaining. Well let's say, having weapons to be more letal, hide-behind scenery objects combined with a fine raycasting for enemy AI, possibly a set of objectives to be completed over the course of the mission... these types of things are oftenly seen in this genre of games, and are very welcome.

Besides that, the coding and art could use some work.
Just keep improving over it and you'll have something great soon enough!
Good luck!

Author's Response:

It's interesting you bring up stealth, because I actually have a bunch of functionality that I built in that I didn't use for dawning, including thugs having sight cones, and alerting others, they actually alert others now, but their proximity is so large that most people won't notice.

GunChest Episode 04_02

"Good Work."

date: October 22, 2008

There were some amazing fight scenes in this episode, and it is possible to see some improvement on skill--sometimes one can forget he's watching a flash.

But I want you to know I frequently found the dialogues/monologues not convincing enough. Especially with the "Black" character, I often think his voice actors is "not in the spirit" of the series.

Also, particularly in this episode, I think the "Gun!" scene deserved more impact, both in video and audio. It just looked minor, considering the quality of Gunchest dodging the red enemy's attacks.

This is a great series, with much potential to become even better.
Good luck.

Khronos

"Cool Work so far."

submission: Khronos
date: October 20, 2008

First off, I find the gameplay a little slow.

The attacks are a little awkard, as already pointed, you tend to get too close to the enemy, in a way that attacking wouldn't be possible, and the lack of a backstep command only makes it worse.

Ability to jump, guard, and dodge would make this a much funnier experience.

But you're on the right way; the graphics are cool, the animations are decent enough, music is alright and there is an actual storyline. I would suggest you to withdraw the game for a little while to work on those gameplay details and launch it once again for a much better commnity response.

I'll be waiting, good luck.

"So much potential..."

submission: Crunchdown
date: October 11, 2008

Okay, I played this yesterday, but I feel forced to come back to write this. Especially after seeing -Who- you are, for I believe your next project is just as promising as this was.

Man, I can't believe this. As I read the description, I was sure this was the daily feature. Unfortunately, I had kind of a bad surprise.

Skipping to technical details:

-Movement is far too slow.

-Character is enormous, contributing to the slow movement and low capability of seeing enemies drawing near.

-Eat command is very difficult to use: has a very low range, is slow to execute, and leaves your guard open for too much time.

-Lack of useful combat techniques builds frustration. Some examples are: Dash, Guard, Jump.

Not trying to be harsh, but it just feels like it could've had gone so much further.
Better luck next time, truly.
